Blog number 1

To think back on all the television I watched as a child only one comes to mind, the mighty morphing Power Rangers. I can’t recall my first episode but I can remember me and my brother sitting down on Saturday mornings with a bowl of fruity pebbles watching the newest episode. We would always pick the one that we wanted to be. My brother always picked the Red Ranger or the leader of the group. I personally liked the Blue Ranger because he was the smartest and I always thought I was smarter than my brother. I think we liked the fact that they were heroes. They were always battling evil monsters and trying to keep the world safe. I mean every young kid has a hero and what would be a better role model than a bunch of young adults battling evil monsters? The action didn’t stop me from watching either. The fake explosions, laser guns, and huge transformations really hooked me. I guess from then on I have always had a love for action in any sort of media. I’m sure everyone knows Halo 2 or has heard something about it. The game has all the action a kid could ask for. You can go around shooting other players online or you can play a story mode in which you play as the hero trying to stop an infestation of aliens or something like that. Plus you get the option of playing as a human or an alien against other players from all over the world! When I first played I was like “Who ever invented this is the freakin man!” I probably played for about two hours and by the time I had stopped my thumbs were sore. I remember having parties at my house and the next morning wakeup would be one of my friends turning on the x-box. Another something that I like about this type of media is that it can relieve stress and I’m always looking for a good stress reliever. Sometimes when I have a really hard day I’ll watch a Jackie Chan movie and it will get me back to neutral with lifted spirits. But anyway that’s all I have to say on this topic.

OK Spenser you win, when I was a kid I always used to sit on my Grandmas bed with some popcorn dressed up as the white ranger and sing "GO GO Power Rangers". I would have to agree when you say every young kid has a hero and certainly one of min was the power rangers, and yes it was very action packed. But I have to disagree when you say that "The Blue Ranger" was your favorite because "The White Ranger" (when h finally made the show) was the sweetest one of all because he was the leader and had the sweetest gear out of all of them. But in the end all of them were sweet because they did indeed keep the world safe Spensbuddy.

yea! Alright Spenser! Man,
I loved watching "Power Rangers." My little brother and I used to do the same thing. Except I used to make fun of him for liking the yellow ranger. I was always the green ranger though. He was the man. He had that baller robotic dinosaur that came out of the water when he played that baller sword! Oh man, I remember those good old days. You are right about every kid wants a hero too. I certainly did. All of the power rangers were awesome so it was basically impossible not to like them while we grew up.
